Pilgrimage in Motion: Exploring Affects, Meanings, and Transformations

The Centre for the Study of Christian Cultures is pleased to invite registrations for the seminar “Pilgrimage in Motion,” taking place at the University of Turku, Finland, from October 31 to November 1, 2024. The seminar will be held at the Arcanum building (Arcanuminkuja 1).

This seminar will explore the multifaceted nature of pilgrimage across Finland and other Nordic/Baltic countries, tracing its historical trajectories from medieval times to the present. For more information on the seminar theme and the keynote speakers, see the Call for Papers and the Program.

The seminar will be conducted in English as an in-person event. Unfortunately, online participation is not available. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required. Coffee will be provided on both days. However, participants are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and lunch costs, as well as the seminar dinner on October 31.

Registration is open until 23 October 2024. For more information, see here
